Day 04

Bismillah ArRahman ArRaheem

Time: 4:43 AM

I just had suhoor and now I’m waiting for the Adhan so I can pray Fajr.. anyways here’s what happened since Monday..

Monday:

It was the 4rth day of Ramadan and I was 30 pages behind in my reading of the Quran. So I stayed up for 2 hours after Fajr reading. It was amazing and I think I will do it more often inshallah. I’ve caught up right now alhamdulillah.

We also had Tajweed class at 4:00 until 6:00 instead of 6 to 8 PM. It’s been only three weeks since we started but I know my Tajweed is a LOT better alhamdulillah.

Taraweeh on Monday was… I don’t know, eventful? For some reason or another the AC wasn’t on, and if it was on it wasn’t helping. So one lady brought these HUGE fans and placed them in the room. There were two of them that were facing exactly towards me causing my Hijab to go flapping around during Salah. And I think I have a slight cold now.

One of the younger brothers fainted in the men’s section near the end of the Salah and they had to call an ambulance. The ambulance came, but the masjid decided to keep everyone inside untill the ambulance left. So 200+ women were all stuck inside filling the hallway, stairway,  and a few wise ones stayed in the Musalla. Alhamdulillah they announced last night that they guy was ok though.

Tuesday:

Nothing much happened on Tuesday, except that I found myself really really annoyed during Taraweeh. There are some women who believe in the ’shoulder to shoulder, feet to feet’ and there are some who push you away to make a lot of room for themselves. The woman who was praying next to me was from the first group, except she probably believes in shoulder to shoulder, foot on foot’. She litterally had her whole foot on top of my toes :| and everytime I ‘managed’ to get my foot out she would just wait a few seconds than step on my foot again.

Maybe I should change the name from Ramadan Diaries to Taraweeh Nightmares.. lol
